HOW WAS “ROTU UPE”CREATED?

Once there was a bustling river and a rather determined rivulet...They both run along side by side for a while until they decided to run together... this is how the “Rotu Upe” was created.

WHAT ARE WE – „ROTU UPE” ?

The creators of “Rotu upe” are Kristine (loves art in all its forms from childhood) and Sergejs (has 15 years experience working with metal, making jewelery and metal working).

The most rewarding thing about our work is when a person finds his or her ornament at us and they feel good while wearing it.

WHAT WE DO AT „ROTU UPE”?

We create our own designed ornaments – from start to finish at our workshop.

We want to be aware of our roots but be at the present. We take inspiration from the past, from the traditional folk crafts and ancient Latvian ornamnets by making our interpretation of the metal. When working, we combine hand work with modern technologies.
